About Breast Cancer Ribbon Logo
The image shows two variations of the iconic pink ribbon associated with breast cancer awareness. The left ribbon is a stylized, glossy depiction with a gradient of light to darker pink and features a subtle white highlight at the top that gives a three-dimensional effect, creating the illusion of a folded loop. The right ribbon is a flat, solid pink color without gradients or highlights, representing a simpler version of the symbol. Both ribbons are designed with the loop on top and two tails at the bottom, crossed over each other to form the shape traditionally recognized as support for breast cancer awareness. The ribbons are set against a transparent background.

Breast Cancer Ribbon Logo Information and History
The Breast Cancer Ribbon logo is one of the most well-known and influential symbols of the cause. The logo was designed by Alexandra Penney, editor in chief of the cosmetics magazine Self, in 1992. Evelyn Lauder, the senior corporate vice president of Estée Lauder and a breast cancer survivor, was approached by Penney to design the logo and use it as a symbol on her cosmetics counters. Penney had recently learned about Charlotte Haley's peach ribbon and wanted to make it a national symbol for the cause.
The pink ribbon symbolizes hope, courage and the goodness of people and businesses in the fight against breast cancer. The first breast cancer awareness stamp featured a pink ribbon, but the stamp did not sell well, so NABCO and Namco paid Namco to put the ribbon on Pac-Man. The new stamp featured a message about the importance of research and the need to take action in the fight against breast cancer. The pink ribbon is now so widely used that it has spread to tech products and even fracking drill bits.
There are many different uses for the Breast Cancer Ribbon. In the nineteenth century, women tied yellow ribbons to trees to remember loved ones. The yellow ribbons quickly gained popularity in the United States after the Iranian hostage crisis of 1979. Penny Laingen tied them to the trees outside her home in a silent gesture of solidarity with the hostages. Visual AIDS also helped launch the Red Ribbon, which featured Jeremy Irons looping a red ribbon around his chest. This gesture set the stage for the development of the Breast Cancer Ribbon logo.
Basic Colors
We've taken a look at the image and pulled out some colors that are common across lots of logos. The colors below aren't the exact colors found in the image, but approximations to common colors.
Advanced Colors
We've extracted the below 'advanced colors' from the logo. These should be much closer to the actual colors found in the logo. Our extractor tries to only take the main colors of the image and tries to ignore shading on anti-aliasing or shadows. This generally leads to better results, but in some circumstances you might find a few unusual colors being pulled from the logo.
Hex Colors
The below are the hex colors that are found in the logo. You can assume that these are the actual colors used in the logo. Our color extraction tool that takes the colors from the logo tries to ignore anti-aliasing and shadows, so you may sometimes find a slightly odd result, but this is rare. These colors should be very similar to the Advanced Colors, but you'll notice subtle differences. If you're interested in the exact color then use the hex, but if you're trying to describe the logo then use the Advanced Color or the Basic Color above.
