About CHEVROLET Logo

The logo displayed is for Chevrolet, commonly known as Chevy, an American automobile brand. The emblem consists of a gold-colored, flattened cross that resembles a bowtie or a plus sign with pointed edges. The design features a reflective surface that gives a sense of metallic texture, and the borders of the cross are outlined with a gradient of a darker hue that contrasts with the vibrant gold center, accentuating a three-dimensional effect. There is a slight shadow below the emblem contributing to its 3D appearance. This logo does not contain any text within the image itself; it is simply the iconic Chevrolet bowtie emblem. The background is transparent, highlighting only the logo.

CHEVROLET Logo Information and History

The Chevrolet logo is one of the most iconic in the world. Although the company calls it the bowtie, it has very little to do with a cross. Instead, it features two intersecting patterns, the first being a square that overlaps the second, a horizontal parallelepiped. It is painted in gold and yellow. Throughout history, the logo has changed slightly, with the main variation being the use of a piping around it in 2013.

The bowtie-like shape of the Chevrolet logo is considered a landmark in automotive design, defining a company's vision and history. It has been featured on Chevy vehicles since 1913, when it first appeared. In fact, the company celebrated its centennial anniversary last year by celebrating the reintroduction of the bowtie-shaped logo. At one time, the company had a different logo, with a scripted version of the name Chevrolet. Today, the bowtie logo is viewed as a modern, minimalist version of the monochrome of the 1960s.

While Durant himself is not entirely certain when the bowtie was created, his wife claims that the design was influenced by an ad in a Virginia newspaper. Apparently, Durant was looking at an ad for Coalettes, which at the time looked very similar to the Chevrolet badge. From there, the bowtie emblem was born, and the company's logo today is one of the most recognizable and enduring in history.

Pale peach

Hex Colors

The below are the hex colors that are found in the logo. You can assume that these are the actual colors used in the logo. Our color extraction tool that takes the colors from the logo tries to ignore anti-aliasing and shadows, so you may sometimes find a slightly odd result, but this is rare. These colors should be very similar to the Advanced Colors, but you'll notice subtle differences. If you're interested in the exact color then use the hex, but if you're trying to describe the logo then use the Advanced Color or the Basic Color above.
