Heineken Logo Information and History

There are many reasons why the Heineken logo is so appealing to drinkers. Its unique color and design elements, along with its history, make it stand out among other beer logos. But what are the best reasons to choose this logo over others? Read on to find out. The Heineken logo has been around for a while now, but it has undergone several changes over the years. Here are the top three reasons:

The first Heineken logo was designed in 1864. It was a green oval with inscriptions reading "Heineken's", "Amsterdam - Rotterdam", "Pilsener Bier", and "Amsterdam." In the mid-1970s, the design was refined to be a single green circle surrounded by a thin green stripe. In addition to the new design, the word "Heineken" was complemented by a red five-pointed star.

Regardless of the significance of the red star, the Heineken logo has sparked controversy for years. In Europe, the red star has long been associated with communism, but the Heineken logo was altered after World War II. The Hungarian government, however, is determined to ban totalitarian symbols. While this ban would not apply to the Heineken logo, it does make it the object of intense criticism.

While there have been many color changes in the Heineken logo over the years, the colors remain largely unchanged. The color green first appeared on the label of the beer in the century before last. It was not until the 1990s that the color became fully red. The consistency in color helps keep the brand image intact. It has become one of the most recognizable beer logos in the world. This is why, while the Heineken logo is widely recognized as the iconic logo of the Dutch beer company, the colors are often adapted for use in other products.

Hex Colors

The below are the hex colors that are found in the logo. You can assume that these are the actual colors used in the logo. Our color extraction tool that takes the colors from the logo tries to ignore anti-aliasing and shadows, so you may sometimes find a slightly odd result, but this is rare. These colors should be very similar to the Advanced Colors, but you'll notice subtle differences. If you're interested in the exact color then use the hex, but if you're trying to describe the logo then use the Advanced Color or the Basic Color above.
