About HP Logo
The logo consists of a dark blue, abstract four-sided shape that resembles a circle with a slightly flatter top and bottom. Inside this rounded shape, the lowercase letters 'hp' are centered and stylized with the 'h' connecting to the 'p' and both letters sharing a single vertical line on the right side. The 'h' has a rounded right top corner. The 'p' is positioned such that its circular part intersects with the vertical line shared with the 'h.' The colors are simple: the letters are white, and they contrast with the dark blue background of the circular-like shape. The overall design is sleek, modern, and highly recognizable.

HP Logo Information and History
The HP logo changed many times in its history. From a garage company to parallel structures, the logo changed several times. In 1981, HP Inc. became the direct successor of its parent corporation. In addition, the HP logo changed colors from black to blue. The elongated tails and rectangle were gone, and the emblem is now a round, blue, black and white circle. In 2009, the HP logo underwent one final change: the font was made white instead of black.
The new HP logo was designed by Moving Brands and retains the original 13-degree slant of the original. The 13-degree slant also appears in the new logo, but the overall slant of the new logo is 20 degrees. Both the old and new logo are symbolic of the computing world, as the forward slash is used in programming. Despite criticism, both HP and Moving Brands are now proud to use this new logo.
The new logo was unveiled in June 2012, as part of the HP Discover event. The tagline for this new logo was "Make it matter." It was used with new HP products and DWA films until 2014. However, the HP logo has changed color again, with the addition of a blue hue. It is still used in some products, including ink carts and packaging. In 2008, HP Inc. split into two companies. As a result, the HP logo became a more subtle design.
Basic Colors
We've taken a look at the image and pulled out some colors that are common across lots of logos. The colors below aren't the exact colors found in the image, but approximations to common colors.
Advanced Colors
We've extracted the below 'advanced colors' from the logo. These should be much closer to the actual colors found in the logo. Our extractor tries to only take the main colors of the image and tries to ignore shading on anti-aliasing or shadows. This generally leads to better results, but in some circumstances you might find a few unusual colors being pulled from the logo.
Hex Colors
The below are the hex colors that are found in the logo. You can assume that these are the actual colors used in the logo. Our color extraction tool that takes the colors from the logo tries to ignore anti-aliasing and shadows, so you may sometimes find a slightly odd result, but this is rare. These colors should be very similar to the Advanced Colors, but you'll notice subtle differences. If you're interested in the exact color then use the hex, but if you're trying to describe the logo then use the Advanced Color or the Basic Color above.
