The Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice movie was announced at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con. While director Zack Snyder originally stated that the movie would be a prequel to the big superhero team-up, he later clarified that he would remain true to the original premise. In fact, Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be quite different from the version of the character from the Dark Knight Trilogy. However, the movie does incorporate elements from the "Death of Superman" narrative. The film was completed in December 2014.
