Ayuntamiento de Badajoz Logo

About Ayuntamiento de Badajoz Logo

The logo features a shield as the central element, with a classic heraldic design primarily in shades of purple and green. At the top of the shield, there is a stylized castle battlement in white, signifying a fortification or a castle. This battlement is topped with a gold crown symbolizing royalty or municipal authority.

On the shield itself, the background is divided into two primary sections: the top portion is purple, and the bottom portion is green. A red rampant lion, possibly indicative of courage and strength, stands in the center of the purple field. The lion faces the left side of the shield, with its tail extended upwards and a fierce expression.

In front of the lion, partially overlapping, are two banners with the Latin inscription "PLUS ULTRA" in uppercase letters, which translates to "further beyond." The banners are off-white or light gray and feature light brown aging or detailing along the edges, suggesting an antique appearance.

Below the shield, in a contrasting clear white block text against a dark background, reads "Ayuntamiento de Badajoz," which identifies the institution the logo represents. The text is likely representing the local municipality or city council associated with Badajoz, Spain.
