About Bandeira de Pernambuco PE

A horizontally divided flag: a deep royal-blue upper field over a white lower field. Centered on the blue field is a semicircular, three-band rainbow (outer red, middle green, inner yellow) arching from one side to the other; above the rainbow sits a small five-pointed yellow star, and below the rainbow (but still within the blue area) is a yellow multi-pointed sunburst. The lower white field contains a simple red Latin cross centered vertically beneath the sun and rainbow.

The composition is flat and graphic with bold, saturated colors and clear, symbolic elements (star, sunburst, rainbow, cross) arranged symmetrically along the vertical centerline of the flag.
