Black Sabbath Logo Information and History

The Black Sabbath logo is the most recognizable symbol for the band. The band originally used a Celtic cross on the front of their album covers, but they changed their logo several times over the years, and each one featured a distinctive design. This evolution of the visual style ended in the band's disbandment in 2017. The band's last appearance as a group was on a 2013 compilation album, and it featured the final design.

The first version of the Black Sabbath logo dates back to 1968. The band was originally known as Earth, but the new name was Black Sabbath. This change in name came in response to the band's popularity and a desire to make their music known. The logo also symbolized their dedication to their music genre and the hard-rock genre. Despite the change in name, the band's visual identity is instantly recognisable around the world.

The name was changed after the band was mistaken for another English group called Earth. However, the group changed their name again in 1969.
