Capitol Records Logo

About Capitol Records Logo

The logo features an oval shape with a dark background. At the center of the oval, the word "Capitol" is written in large, cursive, capital letters, dominating the space. Below this script, the words "RECORDS" is written in block capitals, much smaller than the name "Capitol" but still clearly legible, set on a straight base line.

Above the word "Capitol," a detailed illustration of the United States Capitol Building's dome is depicted to signify the name of the company. The dome is intricately designed with visible lines and shading, giving it a three-dimensional appearance.

Surrounding the central design, there is a lighter line that traces the border of the oval. Additional text appears along this border at the bottom in a smaller, serif font, which reads, "HOLLYWOOD CALIF." in a curved fashion, following the contour of the oval shape.

The color scheme of the logo is monochromatic, with the imagery and text in lighter shades set against the dark oval background, which gives a classic and sophisticated feel to the design.
