About Cartoon Network Logo

The image displays the Cartoon Network logo, consisting of two main parts. On the left side, there's a black square with a white letter 'C' in the center. The 'C' is designed with a part of the letter cut out to create a dynamic effect and give the appearance of a three-dimensional object, as it uses negative space. On the right, adjacent to the black square, there's a larger, taller black rectangle containing the letter 'N' in white. The 'N' also incorporates a portion of negative space to create the illusion of depth and perspective.

Below the two geometric shapes and letters, the phrase "Cartoon Network" is written out in lowercase letters. The font is simple, sans-serif, and black, providing a stark contrast to the white background of the image. The word 'Cartoon' is directly under the 'C', and the word 'Network' is under the 'N', maintaining alignment with the lettering above. The style of the logo is minimalist and modern, with a playful twist that hints at the network's focus on animated programming.

Cartoon Network Logo Information and History

The first Cartoon Network logo was designed to look playful and fun. It used a black and white checkerboard background, with each letter placed in a square. Black letters surrounded white ones. The letters were in a san serif typeface with a thick slab thickness. The cartoon network logo still has a similar look today, though. The font used to design the logo is the same as it was at its beginning.

The new Cartoon Network logo was introduced on May 29, 2010. The design, created by Brand New School, is a play on the previous "checkerboard" logo. The new logo features the letters C and N in black and white inside squares. The squares also create a platform. The Cartoon Network logo has been used in advertising screensavers since May 2010, first in conjunction with an image of Chewbacca. The logo is now used on all platforms and channels of the network.

The original logo was designed in 1996. The "C" and "N" squares were painted white. The new version was developed in 2006 and reflects many of the changes from the original design. In addition, the letters were changed to look painted on, and a white rectangle was added to the background. Regardless of the new logo, the current logo retains many of the original features of the 2004 design. It also retains the "C" and "N" squares.

This generally leads to better results, but in some circumstances you might find a few unusual colors being pulled from the logo.

Almost black
Purplish grey

Hex Colors

The below are the hex colors that are found in the logo. You can assume that these are the actual colors used in the logo. Our color extraction tool that takes the colors from the logo tries to ignore anti-aliasing and shadows, so you may sometimes find a slightly odd result, but this is rare. These colors should be very similar to the Advanced Colors, but you'll notice subtle differences. If you're interested in the exact color then use the hex, but if you're trying to describe the logo then use the Advanced Color or the Basic Color above.
