IsDB – Islamic Development Bank Logo

About IsDB – Islamic Development Bank Logo

The logo consists of a central globe design with multiple longitudinal and latitudinal lines, hinting at a geographical map. Above the globe, there's an image representing a lantern, a traditional symbol in Islamic culture, signifying guidance and enlightenment, which integrates seamlessly into the globe's grid. Surrounding the upper half of the globe, there's a circular band of Arabic script.

Encircling the bottom half of the globe are two olive branches that symbolize peace, their stems curving upward and ending close to the middle sections of the globe. Below these, there is an illustration of two hands clasped in a handshake, indicating partnership or agreement, which shares the central point on the lower axis of the globe.

Beneath the imagery, the company's name is provided in English "ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK" and in French "BANQUE ISLAMIQUE DE DEVELOPPEMENT," arranged in a semi-circular fashion following the contour of the logo's lower half. The font used for the text appears to be Serif for the English and a matching stylistic font for the French.

The color scheme includes shades of green and gold. Green is often associated with Islam and is used here as the primary background color, while the globe, olive branches, and handshake are depicted in a contrasting gold, providing a sense of prestige and value. The logo effectively communicates the bank's global reach, Islamic heritage, and focus on cooperation and peace.
