About La Catrina

High-contrast black-and-white line illustration of a smiling female skull (calavera) shown from the shoulders up. The skull wears a very large, ornate wide-brim hat decorated with a cluster of flowers along the crown and a prominent feather; a single flower is also tucked by the skull's ear. Thick black fills and bold white linework define the hat brim, facial features and visible neck and collar bones, producing a stylised, folk-art appearance.

The composition is entirely monochrome with strong outlines and shadow areas (hat underside and background). The drawing emphasizes ornamental details in the hat (flowers, feather, textured brim) and an expressive grinning skull rather than realistic anatomy, giving a festive, emblematic look.
