About Lunds Universitet Logo

The logo features a circular emblem with a gold color that symbolizes tradition and academic prestige. At the center of the circle is a lion, representing strength and courage, seated on a stylized representation of a pedestal or platform. The lion holds a scroll, which signifies knowledge and learning. Surrounding the lion are the words "AD VTRVMQVE SIGILLYM", which are inscribed in an ornate, classical font, emphasizing the university's long history, established in 1666.

Beneath the emblem, the text "LUND UNIVERSITY" is displayed in a modern, bold, blue font that contrasts sharply with the gold above. The word "LUND" is larger and more prominent, while "UNIVERSITY" sits directly below it in a slightly smaller size. The overall design blends traditional and contemporary elements, reflecting the university's rich heritage and commitment to modern education. The colors gold and blue work harmoniously, evoking a sense of academic excellence and trust.
