About NAACP Logo

The logo displayed is circular in shape with black and white elements. At the center of the logo, there is a black set of balanced scales, symbolizing justice. Above the scales is a white quill pen pointing upwards, and below the scales is an open white book. The scales, pen, and book are encompassed by two concentric circles that contain text.

The outermost circle has text at the top portion that reads "NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE" in capital letters, following the curve of the circle. The text is white against a black background. At the bottom of the outer circle, there is a mirrored arrangement with the text "FIGHTING FOR" and following the lower curve "DEMOCRACY" — both phrases separated by two little stars on either side.

The inner circle contains the acronym "NAACP" in bold capital letters at the center. Below the acronym is the phrase "FOUNDED 1909," indicating the year of the organization's establishment. This text is within two thin concentric circles that create a border around the central design elements.

The overall design uses a monochromatic color scheme, with black and white providing contrast and emphasizing the logo's symbolic elements of justice, knowledge, and advocacy.
