About DILG Logo

The logo in the image is circular with a blue background on the outermost ring featuring yellow/gold text. The text reads "DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT" along the top half and is separated by two small five-pointed gold stars from a smaller text "REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES" which lines the bottom half of the circle.

Enclosed within the blue ring is a secondary ring of gold color which contains symmetrically placed red stars. There are 16 red stars in total, each with five points and they are evenly spaced around the ring.

The innermost element is a shield, which has a red background at the top and bottom, with a central white portion forming a shape reminiscent of a person with arms raised in a V shape. A sun with eight rays, a common symbol seen in the Philippine flag, is depicted in gold at the top section of the shield, while the lower section of the shield remains plain red.

Below the shield, on a yellow background that follows the contour of the shield's bottom, is the acronym for the organization, "DILG," with each letter appearing in dark blue or black.

The colors represented in the logo are red, blue, white, yellow/gold, and black. The overall design incorporates elements that represent the Philippine flag and national identity, along with symbols of governance and unity.
